Army recruitment rally begins in Manipur


Maj Gen PM Bali, VSM, GOC Red Shield Division flagged off one of the largest Recruitment Rallies in Manipur being conducted by the Army at Leimakhong today.

The rally is being conducted with an aim of attracting the best among the eligible youth of the state into the Indian Army.

The General expressed his happiness on the overwhelming response from the youth of the State and conveyed his best wishes to all the candidates appearing in the Recruitment Rally.

While speaking to the participating youth, the GOC encouraged them by acknowledging the exceptional martial skill of the people of Manipur and highlighted numerous occasions when officers and soldiers from Manipur have done the Nation and the Army proud by displaying exemplary valour and gallantry in War.

Encouraged by the massive participation by the youth of the State in the Army Recruitment Rally conducted last year at Leimakhong during the same month, the Army is conducting yet another Recruitment Rally at Leimakhong for enrolment of eligible youth into the Indian Army from all the districts of Manipur and Nagaland.

For smooth conduct of the Rally, the candidates from different districts are appearing on different dates.

The culmination of the Rally will take place with the conduct of the Common Entrance Examination on May 25 next.
