Army will hold a recruitment rally at Zorawar Stadium, Sunjuwan (Jammu) for the candidates of seven districts of Jammu region from 11th to 20th July, 2014.
The recruitment rally is being organised for recruitment in the post of Soldier General Duties (GD), Soldier Technical and Soldier Clerk/Soldier Store-Keeper-Technical (SKT) for the candidates of Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi Districts, a defence spokesman said here on Friday. It is an opportunity for the youths of these districts to get selected for a career in the army, he said, adding the screening of candidates will commence from 5:00 to 9:00 AM on each day of the rally.
The candidates applying for the post of Soldier General Duties should be born not before 11th July 1993 and after 11th January 1997 (both days are inclusive) and should have 10th class with 45 per cent marks and 33 per cent in each subject for the districts Jammu, Samba and Kathua and 10th class simple pass with 33 per cent marks for Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi Districts.
For Soldier (Clk/SKT), candidates should be born not before 11th July 1991 and after 11th January 1997 (both days are inclusive), and should have passed 10+2 in any stream with 50 per cent marks in aggregate and 40 per cent in each subject. 20 per cent bonus marks, on the marks scored in the written test will be awarded to candidates who are in possession of valid certificate in Computers (Basic Computer Course), obtained from DOEACC ‘A’ Level.

For Soldier (Technical) candidates should be born not before 11th July 1991 and after 11th January 1997 (both days are inclusive) and should have Passed 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in Science with minimum 45 per cent marks in aggregate or 10th class pass with minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate if holding three years Diploma in Engineering from AICTE recognised institute.
The recruitment rally for the candidates of Samba District all categories will be held on 11th July, for Kathua District on 12th July; for Tehsils RS Pura and Bishnah on 13th July; for Tehsils Jammu and Akhnoor on 14th July; for Poonch District on 15th July 2014; for Rajouri District on 16th July; and for Udhampur and Reasi Districts on 17th July 2014.
The Common Entrance Exam for all categories will be held at Zorawar Stadium (Sunjuwan) on 27th July 2014.
