Hello Friends!! I hope all of you are waiting for Territorial Army exam results which was conducted in the last month. The results was to be declared by August 18 but due to some unknown reasons the result might have been postponed to August 31. So, you need to wait few more days to get your results. There could be many reasons for the postponement of results and one of the reason may be high number of applications than expected. You will be receiving a mail from respective head quarters regarding your selection and you can also get a call from head quarter.
As there were many applicants this year for written exam than compared to last year there could be delay in correcting the OMR sheets of the candidates so this might be the reason behind postponing the exam result to August 31.
All the selected candidates in the written exam will get an e-mail with subject “PIB-Call Letter” or “Call Up Notice For PIB” or they may also receive a call from respective head quarters on August 31.
Keep your mobile switched on and do not ignore any calls as the call will come from Landline number.

It is quite astonishing that Army such a large organized body fails to publish result and no-one cares to serve even a notice on newspaper about reason for the delay and clear defined date when they can publish the results. Well we all can hope they communicate the results soon.

I have never seen an arrangement like that before.
Number of army trucks with armed infantry soldiers.
Camouflaged jeeps with Para commandos armed with Kalashnikov ak 47.
One of my fellow passengers panicked as he thought that the war is on.
But when i told him that the whole arrangement is for an exam then came to an ease.
Now coming to the topic, I am sure that the main reason for the delay in publishing the result is the distribution of incorrect OMR answer sheet.
There were papers with series ABC and D in each session
(1st & 2nd ) with OMR answer sheet of same series ABCD.
There were many candidates who told that they got different series omr sheet than the series mentioned in the Question paper.
e.g B Series (GK and English )Question paper were given OMR sheet of D series.
This concern was raised by one of the candidates during the start of the examination.
One of the invigilator of the room instructed to mention Session 1 and session 2nd on the top of the OMR sheet so that it could be traced later while examining the OMR sheet.
But how the OMR scanner is going to differentiate that?
Are they going to check it manually ?
So keep your fingers crossed and pray as one deserving candidate should not suffer because of the blunder caused.

ReplyDeleteI sensed something wrong the day I gave my exams as because the OMR sheets they gave us to write where not the proper format OMR which we usually get in UPSC or SSC. Neither there was any proper barcode.
I doubt what would b the final result.
It was supposed to b out by 28 Aug. Now it's 4th Sept. And no notification regarding delay is published. Really strange on part of such elite organisation.
Anyways if u guys have opened a group plz add me in it. At least we would have a common platform to discuss.

ReplyDeleteIn few classes Paper 2 (Afternoon paper) was given in the morning session and the worst part is even after understanding this blunder the students were allowed to leave hall with the question paper. These students circulated this paper 2 among their friends and got hold of paper 1.
Hence, internal investigations under process which is delaying the results.
Even worst is that even after this incidence, similar mismanagement was reported during AFCAT exmas which was conducted a few days back.
Many aspirants have lost faith because of such incidences
hence it's quite a possibility that results might get delayed till next month.
If such a situation.then possibility that pib written exam might get cancelled.

Last time out of 10000 only 40 were shortlisted for SSB and all from Army Back ground
If its low profile, why is it sought after by the army-background people? Last time notification was not open for civilians, it was only for short-service-commission officers who wanted to join TA. Please refer to the last notification of 2016 Jan.

And the Army Background people were the ones who have attempted SSB for 6 to 7 times. They are the ones who were unable to clear NDA , CDS and other prime entries and trying to sneak in from here.

DeleteDon't be so stupid to mislead others. Indian territorial army has the same status like the other armed forces of India. The honors, rank or even the salary given to the territorial army officers are same as those of the other armed forces of India. And if you have the officer like quality, you will definitely get selected. If 100 people appear for ssb and if everyone has that quality, those 100 candidates will get recommended. If none of them appeared in the ssb has that quality, no one will get recommended. SSB IS NOT CONCERNED ABOUT VACANCIES OR ANY ARMY BACKGROUND. My uncle's is a Brigadier in the Indian army, and if recommendation is possible I would be the first person to get through. If you don't know anything just shut up instead of misleading others

The marking for this exam was very tuff.Last year from western command around 350guys made it.this time only 154.

From pune centre itself last year it was 355 candidates. Bro I Had cleared CDS on every attempt of mine and many such competitive exams and appeared for SSB also several times. I believe the papers were very easy this time for ta and have attempted more than 70% perfectly. Most of the candidates who appeared from pune centre are shocked on this result as they were sure of clearing. We hold this esteemed organisation on high regards and therefore trying to be a part of this, but I feel if some issue like this can be a hurdle to aspirants next time also. If there was some issue, candidates should be informed. We too are ready to cope up with it.

Bro yes it cannot be reversed and I too don't want that it will hamper public at large. And more than 70% was used generally as I had attempted almost 88-90 from each paper. Further it was an objective test so tough checking doesn't affect the result in it. It's only in descriptive papers, tough checking is a factor. I just shared on this platform because there are lot many who are shocked and I am also one of them who suffered. RTI will clarify it anyways.

I got a call, where in they conveyed the result, further, they asked me to check the email for details. But I did not receive any email. And they never pick calls to clarify. Am sure they should have sent it to wrong ID, given the fact that they miss-spelt my name as well in the hall ticket.
