Applications are invited from gainfully employed young men for an opportunity of donning the uniform and serving the nation. Territorial Army Officers,based on the concept of enabling
motivated young men to serve in a military environment without having to sacrifice their primary professions.
Date of written Exam: 31 JULY 2016
Last Date of Receipt of Application : 30 JUNE 2016 at respective Territorial Army Group Headquarters.
Type of Exam : Objective (OMR Answer Sheet will be used)
Qualifying Marks : Minimum 40% marks in each part of the paper
separately and overall average of 50%.
CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY :
- (a) Nationality : Only male citizens of India.
- (b) Age Limits : 18 to 42 years on the date of application.
- (c) Educational Qualifications : Graduate from any recognized university.
- (d) Physical Standards : A candidate must be physically and medically fit in all respects.
- (e) Employment : Gainfully Employed.
- Note : Serving member of the Regular Army/ Navy/ Air Force/ Police/GREF/ Para Military and like forces are not eligible
PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS : Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
HOW TO APPLY:
All desirous civilian candidates can obtain Application Form from Employment News or download from www.indianarmy.nic.in (FREE OF COST) and send it alongwith self addressed envelope (28 x12 cms) with postal stamps affixed worth Rs. 27/- and two passport size photographs (No other cost for submission) to the respective Territorial Army Group Headquarters as per the choice of following examination centres. NO OTHER DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED WITH APPLICATION FORM.

Yes, provided you are gainfully employed / self-employed. In case you are employee, your employer's NOC is required as per application form.

ReplyDeleteSir, I m wrking with Indian Railways, with a zeal I want to work with Indian Army throught this Terretorial Army concept. The problem is I have 5 times appeared for SSB but ws not able to get recommended. Kindly answer the following:
ReplyDelete1) Is the standard of testing in SSB remains the same as for other entries?
2) Is getting NOC tht easy job?
3) What level of officer is competent to give NOC?
4) Is there any rule that states that they cannot reject the NOC request for joining Terretorial Army?
Plz answere affirmatively and ASAP...

Delete2/3.as per new advt. Employees of Railways are required to submit NOC authenticated by Railway Board.
4. yes, there is policy letter form ministry to get NOC...

it is no where written to get application self attested / attested by a gazetted officer.

Sir, Why are GREFs not eligible in TA. GREF is totally like Civil department, recently came in MOD. Itna ghatiya department h ye Na to ismea promotion h Na salary acchi except CSD or koi facilities nhi. Or Hm TA mea b apply nhi kr sakte why???
